- Yoga has gained popularity as a practice for the body and mind. There are plenty of great books and videos, but a trained instructor can help you avoid overdoing it when you are starting out.
- Tai Chi is low impact, puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, and is generally safe for most people. But, if not done properly, it can still lead to injuries. It’s important to find a qualified Tai Chi instructor.
- Pilates is a conditioning routine focused on developing a strong central core as well as spinal and pelvic alignment. People who do Pilates report improved balance, flexibility, and muscle strength. Make sure you consult with a qualified Pilates instructor.
